Banners are up in downtown Malvern, welcoming visitors and residents to the village, according to Carol Brawley, president of the Malvern Community Development Fund when asked about the 2016 projects.
Browley went on to note the engraved benches for the downtown have been ordered from Backyard Life, a local business owned by Shaun and Darcy Pearce.
The Expressions swing has been ordered and should arrive within a month. The swing is unique in that it has two seats facing each other, so that the swinging parent and child can see each other's expressions.
Mile-marker signs for the Nature Trail are being produced by Gordon's Graphics, and plaques thanking donors are also in process. The plaques will be put up at the Creekside Overlook mini-park by the Big Sandy.
Safety ground cover for the park playground was not needed, since last year's Old Fashioned Days paid for it.
"I want to thank everyone who donated to Dancing on the Bridge 2016, and allowing the Malvern Community Development Fund to make these improvements," commented Brawley.
MCDF also recently had repairs made to the walking track in the community park, and will put up a sign for the track. Planning for Dancing on the Bridge 2017 is currently under way.
