HOUSTON (AP) -- Art Bernardi scored 20 points and pulled down 11 rebounds Saturday night, leading Houston Baptist to a 94-40 victory over lower-division Ecclesia.
Bernardi was 10 of 13 from the floor. Anthony Hill added 15 points and James Harper had 11 for the Huskies (6-14), who shot 56 percent as a team and won despite committing 22 turnovers.
Rashad Colbert had 10 points for the Royals (0-18), who made just 24 percent of their shots, were outrebounded 63-21 and had four assists to the Huskies' 21.
Houston Baptist never trailed. The Huskies led 50-29 at halftime and didn't allow a second-half field goal until Dakota Woodward's layup with 5:50 to play. Ecclesia was 3 of 35 from the field in the second half.
The game was the Huskies' first since they learned second-leading scorer Tyler Russell will miss the rest of the season with a torn ACL. Russell had surgery Friday.
