Celebrating the theme "Communities thrive @ your library," Minerva Public Library offers a variety of programs for everyone to enjoy during National Library Week, April 12-17.
On Wednesday, April 14, story time participants will say "Hats off to libraries!" Children and caregivers are encourage to wear their favorite hats to the library. Book Beginnings engages children ages 0-3 and their caregivers with stories, songs, and rhymes from 10:30-11:00 am. Story Time, for children ages 3-5 will include stories and songs about libraries from 10:30-11:15.
Wednesday afternoon, the library will host a "Soc-hop for socks, after school dance," from 2:30-4:30. Entrance fee is one pair of new socks to be donated to the Salvation Army. All ages are welcome, but children ages seven and younger should be accompanied by an adult caregiver.
Wind up the week on Saturday, April 17 with a "Communities thrive @ your library" party from 11:00 am until noon. There will be crafts and games for all ages with a snack generously provided by Kishman's IGA. Registration is required; call 330-868-4101. All ages are welcome, but children ages seven and younger should be accompanied by an adult caregiver.
