Back again to strut their dancing talent at the Canton Palace Theater on April 10th and 11th was Misty Karlen's dancers. Applause Talent Competition hosted the event featuring the best dancing talent of 24 various dance studios from around the region.
Most notable were the group routines sweeping the highest honors. The bone-chilling "Children of the Saw" Teen Small Group routine captivated judges grabbing an incredible 1st Overall, Platinum placement, the prestigious "Most Entertaining Act" award, and a scholarship to attend Fuzion Dance Camp.
In the Mini Small Group category, "Fabulous" tied for 1st Overall, but ultimtely received a technical 2nd after the tie-breaker. "Fabulous" also received a High Gold award and a scholarship to attend the Fuzion Dance Camp.
Misty's Teen Large Groups swept away an incredible 3rd, 4th, AND 5th Overall placement with "Smooth", "No Boundaries", and "Insane" respectively. All three routines as well as Teen Small Group "By Knows Nothing" also received High Gold placement.
In the Mini Group division Misty's little stars treated viewers to "Rockstar" and "Angels" earning High Gold placement.
Petite Soloist Elizabeth Dimos impressed the audience with "Fly to Your Heart" receiving High Gold and 4th Overall. "Part of Your World" performed by Randi Blymiller also dazzled the stage placing 10th Overall with a High Gold.
In the Teen Solo Division, Jordan Riddle gave us a Platinum performance on "Big Time" taking 9th Overall. Jordan also earned a High Gold award on an additional solo routine. Other high honors went to Chandlor Phillips and Kaitlyn Chase receiving scholarships to the Fuzion Dance Camp.
Captivating us with her dancing skills, Jaclyn Becker received a Platinum award for her rendition of "Nurse" and a High Gold for "Don't Tell Mama." Also gracing the stage their High Gold performances were Sierrah Bagshaw, Kaitlyn Chase, Ali Dobransky, Sydney Lautzenheiser, Raven Lunsford, Lily McClosky, Hannah Rhoads, Chandlor Phillips, Bryana Sayers, Breana Tompulis, and Nadia Zbuka followed by MacKenzie Fountain with a Gold award.
