Organizing for America Sets May Meetings

Organizing for America/Minerva Area will hold its next meeting on Saturday, May 8th, from 1:00-3:00 PM, at the Minerva Public Library, 677 Lynnwood Drive (lower level Community Room). The meeting will feature efforts now underway in the Minerva area to expand the local grassroots volunteer organization built during the 2008 Presidential campaign as residents begin to focus on the upcoming mid-term election in November. There will also be discussion of legislation pending in Congress to reform the U.S. financial system, implementation of the recently-approved health care reform legislation and a voter registration campaign.

For those who cannot attend the May 8th meeting, OFA/MA will also sponsor a second informational gathering on Monday, May 10th, from 7-9PM. Details regarding this meeting are available by calling Paula Lane at 330-868-2273.

Organizing for America/Minerva Area is one of hundreds of local efforts underway across the country to support for the ongoing work of President Obama and his administration. This advocacy effort is open to all residents of the Minerva area, regardless of political affiliation, economic status, age, race or gender, who are committed to understanding and
