This week the Minerva Public Library launches it 2010 Summer Reading Program, "Make a Splash, Read." The library will host a variety of interesting and enjoyable programs each week for children and teens. And of course, kids sign up to keep track of what they read over the summer, and qualify for weekly prizes.
Each Wednesday the library offers "Book Beginnings" for children ages 0-3 and their caregivers. Join us for stories, songs, and action rhymes, and lots of fun.
Each Friday, from noon to 1:00 the library presents "Book and Bag It," for children four years old through 4th grade. Free lunch is provided for kids or you may bring your own. Stories, activities, and prizes keep everyone entertained. Special guests appear each week. June 11, Minerva High School's Jivin' Jazz Band will get everyone moving.
The Young Adult Group, for kids who have completed 5th through 8th grades, meets each Tuesday 1:00-2:00, with new activities, games, and surprises each week. Free lunch is provided. Sign up at the Youth Services Desk or by calling 330-868-4101.
