Area county auditor appointed co-chair of statewide committee

Leroy VanHorne, Carroll County auditor, was recently appointed to serve as co-chairperson of the 2010 Weights and Measures Committee of the County Auditors' Association of Ohio.

CAAO president, Athens County Auditor Jill Thompson, made the appointment. VanHorne assumes leadership of the CAAO Weight and Measures Committee at a time of increased activity and visibility. The committee works to monitor and apprise CAAO of activities and events of the Ohio Weights and Measures Association, OWMA, and Central Weights and Measures Division of the National Organization.

The committee serves as liaison to Central Weights and Measures, OWMA, and the Ohio Department of Agriculture.
