Minerva Police Reports

Feb. 4, 7:14 a.m. Police received a report of Passing Bad Checks from a business on Valley Street. Information was obtained for a report and three counts of Passing Bad Checks were filed against Kristin Anderson of Minerva, in Carroll County Court.

Feb. 5, 1:51 p.m. Police received a report of Harassment from a resident on North Market Street. Information was obtained for a report.

Feb. 5, 5:11 p.m. Police arrested Jeffrey Mohn of Minerva, on a warrant out of Canton Police Department, for Failure to Appear for Community Service. Information was obtained for a report and Mohn was transferred to the custody of the Canton Police Department.

Feb. 6, 2:29 a.m. Police arrested Felicia Boord of Robertsville, on a warrant out of Stark County, for Failure to Appear. Information was obtained for a report and Boord was transferred to the custody of Stark County.

Feb. 7, 8:49 p.m. Police received a report of a Domestic Dispute at a residence on Murray Avenue. Arrested was Amanda Long of Minerva on a warrant out of Carroll County, for Failure to Appear. Information was obtained for a report and faxed to the Prosecutor's Office for review. Long was transferred to the custody of Carroll County.

Feb. 8, 10:14 a.m. Police arrested Bradley Soliday of Minerva, on a warrant out of Minerva Mayor's Court, for Failure to Pay Fines and Costs on No Operator's License, Driving Under Suspension and Loud Exhaust. Information was obtained for a report and Soliday is scheduled to appear in Minerva Mayor's Court.

Feb. 8, 4:20 p.m. Police received a report of Vandalism to a motor vehicle, parked at the high school. Information was obtained for a report.

Feb. 9, 9:38 a.m. Police received a report of a Custody Dispute at a residence on South Main Street. Information was obtained for a report and faxed to Children's' Services.

Feb. 10, 10:24 a.m. Police received a report of criminal damaging to a residence on Almeda Avenue. Information was obtained for a report.

Feb. 11, 5:52 p.m. Police arrested Amber Eltringham of East Rochester, on a warrant out of Alliance Municipal Court, for Failure to Pay Fines and Costs on Disorderly Conduct. Information was obtained for a report and Eltringham was transported to Stark County Jail. Eltringham is scheduled to appear in Alliance Municipal Court.

Feb. 11, 7:42 p.m. Police received a report of a Theft from a business on Alliance Road. Charged was a juvenile with Petty Theft. Information was obtained for a report and the juvenile will appear in Carroll County Juvenile Court.

Accident Report

Feb. 5, 4:47 p.m. A vehicle operated by Cathi Easterling of Minerva, was traveling westbound on West Line Street, slid while attempting to turn southbound onto Penn Street, and struck a legally parked vehicle, owned by John Laha of Minerva, causing non-functional damages and no injuries.

Feb. 5, 7:09 p.m. A vehicle operated by Kasie Wilkes of Minerva, struck a vehicle operated by Francis West of Minerva, while attempting to pull into Discount Drug Mart's lot, from Alliance Road North West (State Route 183). Non-functional to disabling damages and no injuries reported. Wilkes was cited for Driving Under Suspension.

Feb. 8, 2:31 p.m. A vehicle operated by Norman Starkey of Hanoverton, struck a vehicle operated by Betty Haynam of Minerva, that was stopped for a traffic light on East Lincolnway (U.S. Route 30), at Union Avenue South East (state Route 183). Functional damages and no injuries reported. Starkey was cited for Assured Clear Distance.

Feb. 8, 6:19 p.m. A vehicle operated by Carri Ickes of Minerva, was backing from a parking space in Discount Drug Mart's lot, and struck a vehicle operated by Gloria Sharp of Minerva, causing light, non-functional damages. No injuries reported.

Feb. 9, 1:56 p.m. A vehicle operated by Charles Wilson of Minerva, was attempting to turn northbound onto Short Street from East Line Street, and slid into a vehicle operated by Tammy Baughman of Minerva, that was stopped at a stop sign. Non-functional damages and no injuries reported. Wilson was cited for Reasonable Control.

Feb. 11, 4:39 p.m. A vehicle operated by Daniel Dowling of Minerva, was traveling eastbound on West Lincolnway (U.S. Route 30), when it was struck by a vehicle operated by Kathryn Shaw of Minerva, that attempted to Pass on the Right. Non-functional damages and no injuries reported. Shaw was cited for Passing on the Right.
