Minerva Police Report

On Aug. 6 at 4:38 p.m., police received a report of a domestic dispute at a residence on West Line Street. Information was obtained for a report.

On Aug. 8 at 5:40 p.m., police received a report of a neighbor dispute on North Market Street. Information was obtained for a report.

On Aug. 7 at 1:41 a.m., police received a report of a domestic dispute at a residence on West Line Street. Information was obtained for a report.

On Aug. 7 at 6:32 p.m., police arrested Brian Townsend, Minerva, on a warrant out of Canton Municipal Court for failure to appear. Information was obtained for a report and Townsend was transferred to the custody of Canton Police Department.

On Aug. 7 at 9:48 p.m., police received a report of a theft from a motor vehicle parked on King Street. Information was obtained for a report.

On Aug. 9 at 9:50 a.m., police received a report of vandalism to a motor vehicle parked in business lot on High Street. Information was obtained for a report.

On Aug. 10 at 11:40 a.m., police received a report of a theft that occurred at a residence on Scranton Boulevard. Information was obtained for a report.

On Aug. 10 at 2:55 p.m., police received a report of harassment from a resident on McKinley Avenue. Information was obtained for a report.

On Aug. 10 at 7:42 p.m., police arrested a juvenile on a warrant out of Stark County Juvenile Court for violation of court order. Information was obtained for a report and juvenile was transported to Faircrest Detention Center.

On Aug. 12 at 9:49 a.m., police received a dog-at-large complaint on Delmar Drive. Charged was Donald Stanley, Minerva, for dog at large. Information was obtained for a report and Stanley is scheduled to appear in Minerva Mayor's Court.

On Aug. 12 at 10:44 a.m., police received a report of breaking and entering at a residence on Park Avenue. Information was obtained for a report.

On Aug. 12 at11:03 a.m., police received a report of a theft from a residence on Preston Street. Information was obtained for a report.

Accidents

On Aug. 4 at 12:35 p.m., a vehicle operated by Jessica Whiteleather, of Salem, was stopped at a stop sign on North Market Street at state Route 183 (Union Avenue SE), when it was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene. Non-functional damages and no injuries reported. After investigation, Joseph Baker, of Minerva, was charged with assured clear distance ahead.

On Aug, 9 at 11:35 a.m., a vehicle operated Etta Wren, of Minerva, was driving across Pamida parking lot and struck a utility pole causing moderate, non-functional damages. No injuries reported.

On Aug. 9 at 9:12 p.m.. a vehicle operated by Carolee McCauley, of Minerva, was exiting the pharmacy drive-through in the Discount Drug Mart lot and struck a vehicle operated by Stacey Homan-Felton, of Malvern, then travelled across Alliance Road NW (state Route 183), through another parking lot, across Kennel Road, and through a field before coming to rest in a wooded area. Moderate, disabling damages to vehicles and property damages reported.
