Minerva Police Report

On June 23, 4:40 p.m. police received a report of harassment that occurred from a residence on W. Plain St. Information was obtained for a report and sent to the Carroll County prosecutor's office for review.

On June 25, 3:23 a.m. police received a report of a burglary from a residence on Union St. Information was obtained for a report.

On June 29, 9:35 a.m. police arrested James Kagey Sr., Carrollton, on a warrant out of Minerva Mayor's Court for failure to pay fines and cost for driving under suspension. Information was obtained for a report and Kagey is scheduled to appear in Minerva Mayor's Court.

June 29, 3:24 p.m. police received a report of narcotics in a parking lot of a business on Valley St. Lee Pasiuk, Carrollton, was arrested for two counts possessing drug abuse instruments. Information was obtained for a report. Pasiuk was transported to Carroll County Jail and is scheduled to appear in Carroll County Court.

On June 30, 12:57 p.m. police arrested John Brandenburg, Minerva, on a warrant out of Carroll County for two counts of domestic violence. Information was obtained for a report. Brandenburg was transported to Carroll County Jail and is scheduled to appear in Carroll County Court.

On June 30, 5:35 p.m. police received a report of an animal complaint at a residence on W. Lincolnway. Barbara Hawthorne, Minerva, was charged with dogs running at large. Information was obtained for a report and Hawthorne is scheduled to appear in Minerva Mayor's Court.

On July 1, 4:27 a.m. police arrested Michael McPhillen, Midvale, on a warrant out of Minerva Mayor's Court for failure to pay fines and cost for open container. Information was obtained for a report. McPhillen posted bond and the warrant canceled.

On July 1, 4:55 p.m. police received a report of a sex offense that occurred at a residence on Southview St. Information was obtained for a report.

On July 1, 5:46 p.m. police received a report for a missing juvenile out of Stark County. The juvenile was located and safe. Information was obtained for a report.

On July 5, 11:14 a.m. police received a report of a counterfeit bill located at Brock Park. Information was obtained for a report and sent the Secret Service office.

On July 5, 12:27 p.m. police received a nuisance complaint from village hall. Charged was Christina Beverage, Minerva, for grass/weed cutting required. Information was obtained for a report and Beverage is scheduled to appear in Minerva Mayor's Court.

On July 4, 11:12 p.m. police attempted to stop a motorcycle for speeding and reckless operation on Kennel Rd. Information was obtained for a report and the case is still under investigation.

Accidents

On June 30, 2:27 p.m. a vehicle operated by Daniel Gable, Minerva, struck a vehicle operated by Gilbert Chaidez, Minerva, on Chestnut St. No injuries and light damage reported. Gable was cited for reasonable control and Chaidez was cited for right of way turning left. Gable and Chaidez are scheduled to appear in Minerva Mayor's Court.

On June 30, 5:02 p.m. a vehicle operated by Elizabeth Passio, Canton, struck a vehicle operated by James Kienzle on Valley St. No injuries and light damage reported. Passio was cited for assured clear distance and is scheduled to appear in Minerva Mayor's Court.

On July 3, 10:20 p.m. a vehicle operated by Shon MacMurray, Minerva, backed into a vehicle owned by Thomas Morgan, Minerva, on Main St. No injuries and light damage reported. MacMurray was cited for leaving the scene of an accident and is scheduled to appear in Minerva Mayor's Court.
