Instructions

The News Leader invites the community to submit their news for publication.

The News Leader is unable to guarantee when a news item will be published, but strives to publish items in a timely manner.

Our policy is to promote fundraisers, collections and special happenings in advance so the public may participate. Please submit information about an upcoming event two weeks prior to the event. Time sensitive items will have priority.

Please include who, what, where, when, why and how. If submitting a photo, please identify the people from left to right, front to back.

News items may be submitted through our website, or printed to be mailed to The News Leader, P.O. Box 30, Minerva, OH 44657, or dropped off at the news office at 177 Curry St., Minerva.

Photo must be jpeg, jpg, gif or png and file size must be under 2 MB

I do hereby declare and warrant that I am the copyright owner (i) because I took the photograph and authored the text, film, print, slide, artwork, digital image, or other material (the "Materials") which I am submitting for publication, or (ii) I obtained express, written permission from the photographer and any other author or creator of the Materials to submit them to The News Leader for publication.

I hereby grant a non-exclusive license to The News Leader to publish these Materials and distribute them in any of the company’s associated sites, publications or other media, and to create derivative works. I represent that I have the legal authority to grant such a license. I agree to indemnify and hold harmless The News Leader and its related companies, employees and agents from any and all liability, damages and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) that may be incurred as a result of publishing these Materials, including any claims brought by any other person claiming an interest in the Materials or their subject matter.

I understand that the Materials may be cropped or modified at the sole discretion of the site owner. I further understand that the Materials may be rejected for any reason and are not guaranteed to be published."
