Carroll County Arts is hosting a fabric painting class taught by Cheri Bell at the Carroll County Arts Center beginning on Wednesday, Feb. 8th, and continuing every other Wednesday;Wednesday, Feb. 22; Wednesday, March 8, from 1-3 p.m.
The cost is $35 and must be pre-paid and pre-registered. Painting materials are supplied but participants must bring their garment or fabric article they want to paint. The garment should be heavy cotton or preferably denim and be pre-washed and ironed. This painting will not work on sweatshirts or any kind of knit garment.

The Woodcarvers have decided they will have their carving sessions through the months of February and March on the second and fourth Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. at the Arts Center. Never carved before but interested? Bring a carving tool, if you have one, or an X-Acto knife and the instructors will provide a carving "block" of a bird or small animal for you to begin on.
They also have carving tools available. There is no set charge for this group but a small donation will be accepted to pay for the gas for the Stark County instructors.
The Library ladies will be instructing the Kidz Klass on February 11th at 10 a.m. This is a change in the normal third Saturday date. The theme for the day is "Love Bugs Don't Bite" with stories and the making of a clay Love Bug. Fee of $5 can be paid that morning but registration would be appreciated. Children younger than 3rd or 4th grade can be accommodated if there is an adult present to assist them. Call 330-627-3739 to register children.
