Quarter Auction is set for April 30 at St. Francis Xavier Hall

The annual Quarter Auction hosted by the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Women's Club will be held on Sunday, April 30 at St. Francis Xavier Hall, 125 S. Carrollton St. in Malvern.

"We have made some changes to this year's format -- changes that should please the Quarter Auction bidders who have filled our Hall to capacity for the past three years," says Jackie Contini, co-chairman.

"The Quarter Auction has always included both an oral and a silent auction with prizes valued from $25 to $100 or more. In the past we have placed most of the items in the oral auction, but that process takes a lot of time. This year we will have two rounds of oral auction items with 40 items in each round. Many other wonderful prizes will be available in the silent auction. This will give everyone a chance to bid on all the great "treasures," but in less time," Contini says.

Bidders can win great prizes for as little as one-percent of the value of each item

"The live bidding for Quarter Auction items will start at 2 p.m., but the doors will open at 12:30 p.m. so that guests can participate in the silent auction, view the many great items that will be available for the Quarter Auction, and enjoy the variety of food and beverages that will be available for sale," Contini says.

There will also be a raffle drawing at the Quarter Auction. The first prize is a 48" Vizio Smart TV; second prize is four good seats for a Cleveland Indians game; and third prize is a stainless steel fire pit ring. Raffle tickets are now available from members of the Catholic Women's Club and the holders of winning tickets do not need to be present at the Quarter Auction to win.

The admission price is $5 per person and tickets are available from Jan Prevot at 330-863-0789.
