The February meeting of Minerva's Entre Nous Club was held at the Hart Mansion with Trish Bush and Mary Wolf serving as co-hostesses.

Trish Bush offered prater prior to a luncheon of soup and salad courtesy of the hostesses. The tables were decorated with heart shaped frosted sugar cookies and beautiful felt baskets containing houseplants.

In keeping with the Valentine's holiday, Bush shared many interesting facts about the origin of this holiday and its popularity today. Since the 1840's when the first mass produced Valentines were introduced, it has become a major consumer's holiday with one billion cards being sent each year and an average spending of $130 per person per year on such items as candy, flowers and diamonds. She also told of the different traditions celebrated in other countries.

Following the program, President Sarah began the business meeting by welcoming guest Marilyn King, a former Entre Nous Member. Treasurer Ruth Orrell read thank-you notes from Pastor Harley Wheeler and Cheryl Hart regarding the gift sent to the Minerva United Methodist Church Food Pantry.

Patsy Karlen reminded the group of the Friday Night Art Spot event and encouraged all to attend. President Sarah presented cupcakes to Ruth Orrell and Cathy Fry in celebration of their birthdays.

Carol Chapman and Nancy Tarbet will serve as co-hostesses for the March meeting.
