Eastern Star holds annual inspection

Carroll Chapter Order of the Eastern Star held their annual inspection on March 30 with 37 visitors and 29 members present. Worthy Matron Brenda Sperber welcomed all to spring.

Honored guests were Past Grand Patron Larry Groves, Deputy Grand Matron Brenda Momorovic (inspecting officer), Grand Representatives representing Italy Clara Nichols, Kansas Dorothy Frank, Manitoba Bonnie Blevins, and Nebraska Edna Todd. Worthy Matons from East Liverpool, East Palestine, Lisbon, Louisville, Painesvillle, and Unionport; and Worthy Patrons from East Liverpool, Lisbon, East Palestine, and Louisville; and District 13 President, Vice President, and Treasurer, Charities Director Brenda Sperber, seven honored Masons, and 11 50-year members.

The amount of $70.05 was given to the District Charities Fund.

Susan and Dale Smead were received as new members. Larry Groves and Barbara Stuart gave reports on the OES Home Capital Funds Campaign.

The Deputy reported that the chapter has 236 members and has a lot of community projects they are involved in.

The April 6 meeting will be an Easter hat parade and jelly bean hunt. The Rock a Thon is April 30 at Lisbon-come and help raise funds for charity.
