Carroll Chapter Order of the Eastern Star held its regular meeting on April 6 with 19 members present. Worthy Matron Brenda Sperber welcomed all with an "Easter Quote."
Honored guests were Masons Fred Boggs and David Rainsberger; fifty-year members Karen Bray, Donna Tucker, Glenda Tucker, and Mary Anna Cotter; District President Carter and Charities Director Sperber.
The Altar was draped in memory of Past Grand Matron 1971 Joyce Black and the charter in memory of James Bray and Barbara Baker.
Remembered with cards and prayers were Karen Bray, Sharon Sauners, Brenda Sperber and Dorothy Copeland.
All members are asked to bring a bag of wrapped candy to the May 4 meeting to be used for the May 29 Memorial Day parade.
There will be a dinner for all first-responders in the area at the Masonic Center on April 27 at 6 p.m. Star Members are asked to bring a dessert.
The Rock-a-Thon will be held at Lisbon Center at 2 p.m. on April 30 to benefit charities. Bring your rocker and pledges. The Race-a-Rama will be held at North Canton Masonic Center on April 22 at 2 p.m. to benefit the District 13 association. Bring a car, and race and eat for $8.
Louisville Chapter will hold their 100th anniversary celebration on May 8 at 7:30. They will be merging to Legacy soon after. There will be a dinner at 6 p.m. Notify Brenda Momorovic if you want to attend the dinner.
Chapter meeting closed with an Easter egg hunt and an Easter hat parade with prizes awarded to several. Lunch was served by Glenda Carter.
