Men hold prayer breakfast at Classic '57

Christ Memorial Church Men's Prayer Breakfast was held on Saturday, July 15, a.m. at Classic 57 in Minerva planned by Jim Muckley.

Muckley gave the devotional "Working Together for a Common Goal." Table grace was given by Jim DeWalt for the 11 members present.

Robertsville holds community fest

A free Community Festival was celebrated in Robertsville on July 29 at Christ Memorial Church Park. It was a success and attended by many adults and children with beautiful weather for all.

In addition to music, activities included corn hole, a bounce house, dunk tank, slip and slide, children's games, balloons, snow cones and cotton candy. Free refreshments included hog roast/pork sandwiches, hot dogs, fresh popped corn and a variety of sides served by the volunteers.

Christ Memorial Church holds VBS

Christ Memorial Church in Robertsville held a vacation Bible school July 31-Aug. 3 in the church park. It was for children 4-12 years of age.

This year's theme was "Heroes of Fath." There was a small attendance. Coordinator Brenda Momirovic was assisted in teaching the lessons by Kathy Murphy and Pat Vincent, crafts Brenda and Kathy, and games Paxton Reed.

Donations from church members were appreciated. Each day included games, crafts and snacks along with the lesson study.
