Senator Sherrod Brown and the Small Business Administration will host a small-business seminar in New Philadelphia on Thursday, July 9.
Brown's staff and and the U.S. Small Business Administration Senator Sherrod Brown will be on hand at the seminar to discuss opportunities for small businesses, including those related to the economic recovery package.
The seminar is from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. July 9 at Founder's Hall Auditorium, Kent State University Tuscarawas, 330 University Dr. NE, New Philadelphia.
Other topics will include:
• The recovery act and SBA lending programs;
• Business tips and planning for the recession;
• Additional business programs available through the USDA;
• How to access capital in a tough economy; and
• Selling to the federal government as a way to increase sales.
