Minerva's National City changes to PNC

Published:

COLUMBUS -- The changeover of National City branches to PNC Bank began in central and southern Ohio in February, and, although it will not be official in Minerva until Monday, April 12, the first PNC sign went up at the local branch March 3.

PNC employees have been gearing up to present customers with more opportunities and the best of both banks, elevating it to the state's top bank by deposits. PNC has been communicating with customers directly so they know what to expect with their accounts.

"We have mailed local customers information on what to expect when they begin to bank with PNC, and in early March we will be communicating specific information about their individual accounts," said Cheryle Russo, PNC retail market manager. "We are working diligently to make this a smooth transition for all our customers, so there will be very little our customers will need to do when local branches become PNC."

The combined company provides customers with greater ease and convenience to achieve their financial goals. Upon conversion, customers will have access to combined offerings including loans, PNC Points, the innovative Virtual Wallet solution and greater access to branches, ATMs, online banking and exceptional customer service.

This region will become PNC as part of the third phase of the conversion in April. In November, 1.8 million customers and 240 branches were successfully converted throughout western Pennsylvania, Youngstown, and the state of Florida. More information is available on welcometopnc.com.
