The Ohio Environmental Council is offering an organic-farm tour on May 15.
The tour begins at 10:30 a.m. at the Turner Farm, 7400 Given Road, Cincinnati. The cost is free for members or $25 for non-members and includes a one-year OEC membership.
Those attending will be able to experience life on a working farm that began in the late 1800s. Enjoy a horse-drawn wagon ride, tour of the pastures and gardens, and a light lunch, featuring fresh, organic foods.
Serving as the guides are the Turner Farm staff and Joe Logan, the OEC's director of Agricultural Programs. Reservations are required by May 7.
To register, call 614-487-7506 or e-mail OEC@theOEC.org.
The OEC is also offering tours for the following: Vernal-pool experience, April 23; Hiram College field station, June 12; Tallgrass prairie walkabout, July 31; and Crane Hollow hike, Aug. 21.
