Works by local artists are chosen for Zoar show

Two of Minerva's artists were selected to display their artwork at the Zoar Harvest Festival Art Show on Aug. 7 and 8.

Nicole Everetts (above, right) had two of her drawings accepted into this juried art show and competed in the student category. Her first piece was a graphite drawing entitled, "Hanging at the Zoar Store," and the second was an ink drawing of a window at the Zoar Gardens.

Diane Betz Granger (below, right) also had two of her paintings accepted into the show. The first was a watercolor entitled, "Welcome to Zoar...Have a Seat!" The second, entitled "The Zoar Store Door," won first place in the oil category and a cash prize of $500. This is the fourth consecutive year Granger has won this award.

The artwork in this show must depict a Zoar theme or scene. The Whitemyer Ad Agency as sponsored the art show for the past nine years.
