Malvern recycling site moves

Published:

The Carroll-Columbiana-Harrison Solid Waste District recycling site in Malvern has moved to the Malvern Community Park on state Route 43.

Follow the blue "Recycling Center" signs inside the park to get to the site.

"The recycling site in Malvern is well used by Malvern residents," says Chris Jacobs, director of the district. "We want to thank everyone in the Malvern area for being environmental stewards."

All 12 of the district's drop-off recycling sites in Carroll County accept the following materials: Office paper, newspaper, magazines, junk mail, catalogs, paperboard (cereal) boxes, phone books, steel and aluminum cans, numbers one through seven plastic containers (no Styrofoam), and green, brown and clear glass bottles.

This district also has a list of locations that accept other "non-traditional materials," such as appliances and rechargeable batteries, for recycling.

For more information, please contact the district at 330-627-7311 or see the district's website, www.RecyclingMakesSense.org.
