Voters in the Minerva Local School District approved the district's renewal emergency operating levy Tuesday.
The 5.1-mill levy passed 2,717-2,348.
"On behalf of the Board of Education, and all of the Minerva Local School District, I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Minerva Local community for its approval of the renewal levy. With the passing of this renewal, Minerva Local Schools will be able to continue the Pride, Excellence and Tradition that has become synonymous with the academic and athletic standards set forth by the district since 1846," said Superintendent Joe Chaddock.
"We will continue to be good stewards of the resources you have entrusted to us, working to ensure a first-class education for our students in the most cost effective manner as possible. Again, thank you to our entire community for the support of our schools!"
