Malvern Boy Scout Troop 155 will be conducting their annual "Scouting for Food" Saturday, Nov. 17, 9 a.m.
Boy Scout Troop 155 will canvas the Malvern area and collect all the bags.
All of the items collected, including donations, will be given to the Malvern Christian Care Center.
All housing allotments and trailer courts in the Brown Township area are included.
There will be a Scout trailer outside the gate at Lake Mohawk from 9-11 a.m., where items can be dropped off as well.
If you wish to donate any non-perishable food items, please leave them in a bag on your front porch or steps.
Along with non-perishable food items, the Malvern Christian Care Center is also asking for paper products consisting of paper towels, toilet paper, tissue paper, and cleaning products consisting of dish soap, laundry soap, shampoo, and hand soap.
Last year the Boy Scouts collected over 400 lbs. of food that went to over 100 local families in our community.
The boys would like to set a goal and double the weight this year. With the trying economy there are a lot of families in need.
For any questions or need someone to pick up missed items, please call Scoutmaster E.J. Hole at 330-324-3809.
