Fair Housing meeting set for Feb. 4

Spencer Wells, Tenant Outreach Director for the Coalition on Homelessness and Housing in Ohio will present information on fair housing and rental rights at the Carroll County District Library, 70 Second Street NE, Carrollton, 3-5 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 4.

The free program, presented by the Coalition and the Carroll County Commissioners, is open to property owners, managers, tenants and other interested citizens. Topics will include ways in which rental rights strengthen communities, rights and duties of landlords and tenants, protected classes under the fair housing acts, reasonable accommodations and modifications for persons with disabilities and protections for households that are headed by women or include children under 18 years old.

Funding for the program is provided under a grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
