Published: January 12, 2017 12:00 AM

The new year brings changes to the Carroll County Help Me Grow program.

Beginning this month, Jefferson County Help Me Grow will provide Carroll County families and their children with home visiting services. The program provides first-time expectant or new parents with information and support to help them prepare for the birth of their child and provides ongoing education and support for families to maximize their child's health and development to age 3.

At this time, referrals for the program can still be made by calling the Carroll County General Health District at 330-627-4357.

The Early Intervention Service component of the program will also continue to be provided through the Carroll County General Health District until June 30, 2017. After this date, central coordination and early intervention services will be offered under the direction of the Carroll County Board of Developmental Disabilities.
