The accident occurred on U.S. Route 30 west of Minerva, near Cindell Street.
The Canton Post of the High Patrol arrived on the scene at approximately 9:30 a.m.
According to the post, Breanna Petros, age 22, of Minerva, and her passenger, Jordyon Kreitzer, age 21, of Minerva, were traveling westbound on U.S. Route 30 in a 2002 Buck Rendezvous.
Petros lost control of her vehicle and slid into the path of George Spurlock, 40, of Lorain and his passenger, Michael Trull, 30, of Nova. Spurlock was traveling eastbound in a 2006 International Tractor Trailer.
After the impact, the Buick Rendezvous was forced back into the westbound lane, where it struck Kayleigh Reed, 28, of Minerva, who was westbound in a 1999 Ford F-250.
Kreitzer sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Petros sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transpired to Aultman Hospital. Spurlock sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to Mercy Medical Hospital.
Reed and Trull were not injured. Reed, being seven months pregnant, was transported to Aultman Hospital for precautionary reasons.
Spurlock, Petros and Kreitzer did not have their safety belts on. Reed and Trull were wearing safety restraints.
Alcohol is not a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation. Sandy Creek Fire Department, Minerva Police Department and the Ohio Department of Transportation responded to the accident.
