The Carroll County Animal Protection League will hold a variety of events in April to help benefit the construction of its no-kill animal shelter on Canton Road/U.S. 43.
The month begins with the CCAPL's monthly meeting scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 6, at the Senior Citizens Friendship Center in Carrollton. The meeting is open to the public.
The CCAPL will hold its annual spaghetti dinner fund-raiser on Saturday, April 8, from 4-6 p.m. at the Minerva Senior Center, 1200 Valley St., Minerva.
Dinner includes meat or meatless spaghetti, coleslaw, bread and butter, beverage and dessert.
Cost is $7 for each adult and $4 for each child 12 years old or younger. Dinner tickets may be purchased by contacting a CCAPL member or by e-mailing email@example.com. Walk-ins are also welcome, and carry-out will be available.
On Saturday, April 29, the CCAPL will hold a hot dog stand and membership drive at Dollar General Market, 1205 Canton Road N.W., Carrollton, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
Hot dogs, coneys, home-baked goods, beverages, CCAPL t-shirts, pet products, cook books and more will be available for purchase. Membership applications will also be available for anyone who would like to join the organization.
All proceeds from CCAPL events will be used to help finish construction of the organization's no-kill animal shelter.
