Personnel approved during the March 13 Minerva Board of Education meeting include the following:
APPROVED Recommendation to approve the maternity leave for an elementary teacher and for a tutor beginning in April through June 1.
APPROVED recommendation to accept the retirement of Priscilla (Sally) Lytle as an educational aide at Minerva Elementary effective at the end of the 2016-2017 school year and the retirement of Kathy Chase as a cafeteria worker effective at the end of the 2016-2017 school year.
Also accepted the resignations of Jeff Lambert as a per-hour as needed bus driver effective Feb. 13, Tamara Sprout as a 2 1/2 cafeteria worker effective Feb. 24, and Paula Nape as a elementary educational aide, effective Dec. 31, 2016.
APPROVED the contract for Tamara Sprout as a 2 1/2 playground aide effective Feb. 27 per salary schedule for the 2016-2017 school year. Also approved was a per hour as needed contract for Troy Kamph as a bus driver effective Feb. 13.
APPROVED expenditures for $1,565,328.66. Also passed was a resolution approving the Stark County Budget Commission's calculated rates which authorizes the necessary tax levies and certifying them to the Stark County Auditor.
The April meeting date has been adjusted and will be held on Monday, April 24, 7 p.m. at the Administrative Building.
