Minerva Area Scouts are once again assisting the Minerva/Malvern Area Salvation Army Food Pantry with their annual "Scouting for Food" service project. The Scouts distributed bags to Minerva and outlying area residents throughout the past week.
Donations of non-perishable food items, toiletries in non-breakable containers and paper products, such as toilet paper, will be accepted. Please do not donate perishable items, expired food or food in glass containers. Donations will be collected this Saturday, April 8 between the hours of 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Donors are asked to leave their donations by a door visible from the street.
If donations has not been collected by 5 p.m. on April 8, call the Boy Scouts at 330-862-2711 and leave a message including name, home number, and address. A representative from Boy Scout Troop 150 will contact as soon as possible to arrange a pick-up. The scouts greatly appreciate the support that the community has given through the years. The number of needy families served by the food bank has continued to grow.
