Good Friday Community Worship Service will be held on April 14 beginning at noon and being held at Paris Israel Church, 12583 Lisbon St NE, Paris.
Come join us for a message brought by Pastor Harvey Miller of Minerva Community Church, with music and inspiring bible reading as we celebrate the Easter Season.
The Community Sunrise Service will be at 6:45am, at Great Trail Golf Course, April 16th, hosted by Great Trail Community Church of God, with a continental breakfast at the church, on Line Street, after the service. Pastor Harley Wheeler of Minerva United Methodist Church will bring the Easter Message.

St. Martin Lutheran Church in Malvern, 301 W. Main Street
St. Martin will have a Good Friday service at 8 p.m. on Friday. Since there is no Malvern community Good Friday service, the service at St. Martin will include members from the Malvern United Methodist Church and their church choir to perform with St. Martin's choir. The service is a traditional Tenebrae Service, also known as the Service of Darkness. While the congregation is holding lighted candles, the story of the crucifixion of Christ is read in eight sections. As each section is read, an altar candle is extinguished until only one candle remains.
On Easter Sunday the church will hold a pancake breakfast at 9:30 a.m. Members are invited to bring additional breakfast dishes. The worship service begins at 11 a.m. and will include special music and Holy Communion. A collection of non-perishable items for the Malvern Christian Care Center is being taken. Lenten Denial quarter folders are also being gathered, and that offering will be divided equally between the Care Center and the ELCA's World Hunger drive.
Minerva United Methodist Church, 204 N Main St
Minerva's United Methodist Church invites the community to come and worship at two worship Services on Easter.
At 9am, the church youth will lead an early Easter Service followed by donuts and coffee in the fellowship hall. The 10:30am service will feature the Church Choir performing the Cantata "Were you There?"

A Good Friday service "Standing in Forgiveness" at 7:15 p.m.
On April 15, Easter Sunday, 9:30 a.m. Easter Egg Hunt; 9:45 a.m. Brunch; and Easter Festival Worship and Holy Communion will be held 10:30 a.m.

On Easter Sunday, service will be held at 9:30 a.m., at Minerva High School. There is Kids Program and nursery through fifth grade. This will be the only service for the day.
First Presbyterian Church of
Minerva, 204 Edgewood Drive
During this Holy Week, the First Presbyterian Church of Minerva invites all to join in participating in Jesus' journey to the cross. They will be hosting an Experiential Stations of the Cross to run Monday-Saturday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. This self-guided worship event provides hands-on ways of engaging the story of Jesus' Passion.
The church will also be gathering for worship on Maundy Thursday (April 13) at 7 p.m. for a service remembering the Last Supper, which will incorporate a footwashing and handwashing, to be accompanied with communion.
Additionally, as Easter morning breaks on Sunday, April 16th, we will gather for worship with communion to celebrate the resurrection at 9:30 a.m. All are welcome.

There will be a 7 a.m. service followed by breakfast on Easter Sunday, April 16. There will be no other service or Sunday School that day.

Crosswalk: All middle school and high school students are welcome to participate in a Crosswalk throughout Minerva on Friday, April 14th. Meet at Minerva First Christian Church at 12 p.m. noon.
Easter Family Fun Day: Saturday, April 15, 2-4 p.m., Minerva First Christian Church will be hosting an Easter Family Fun Day. Join us for snacks, games, crafts and more. Fun for the whole family.
Resurrection Celebration: Pastor Dale Roberts will be preaching "Jesus... Our Risen Lord!" on Sunday, April 16 at 9 a.m.

St. Francis Xavier, Malvern
and St. Gabriel, Minerva
The Celebration of the Triduum ("the three days") of Holy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter Vigil will be a Joint Celebration of the Parish Community of St. Francis Xavier and St. Gabriel the Archangel. The services these three days will take place at St. Gabriel, 400 W. High Street, Minerva as combined services for members, visitors and guests of both parishes. The Choirs, Mass Servers, Ushers, Lectors and Special Ministers of the Eucharist of both parishes will be involved with each of the services. All are invited to join us for these three holy days.
Holy Thursday is April 13, the Mass of the Lord's Supper will begin at 7 p.m. at St. Gabriel, Minerva.
The highlight of this Mass is the Foot Washing ("mandatum") ceremony. It calls us to serve each other as Christ gives his life in service to us. Parishioners are invited to bring their Rice Bowl offerings to be used for the poor. The Chapel will be open following the service for Adoration and prayer until 10 p.m. Night Prayer will be celebrated at 10 p.m. with all who are able to attend.
Good Friday is April 14. The Stations of the Cross will be celebrated at St. Francis, Malvern at 3 p.m. The Celebration of the Lord's Passion will take place at 7 p.m. at St. Gabriel, Minerva. This celebration consists of the Reading of the Passion Account, the Veneration of the Cross and a Communion service. The collection on this day will be used to support the shrines in Jerusalem and the Holy Land.
Easter Vigil Service, Saturday, April 15.
This service will begin with the congregation gathering around the new fire in "Billy's Way" garden at 8 p.m. at St. Gabriel Church, Minerva. This is the holiest night vigil of the church year. It consists of a Service of Light (candlelight procession), Readings from Scripture, Blessing of Baptismal Water and Profession of Faith of by our new Candidates, Renewal of Baptismal Promises, and the Mass of Easter. A reception for all in attendance will be celebrated immediately after Mass in the Social Hall.
Easter Sunday, April 16. Easter Sunday Mass will be celebrated at our regular times: St. Francis Xavier, Malvern at 8:30 a.m. St. Gabriel, Minerva at 10:30 a.m. We will renew our baptismal promises and rejoice in the fact that the Lord is indeed risen from the dead. Alleluia.

Easter Sunday Services on April 16: Easter sunrise service begins at 7:30 a.m. followed by a breakfast of biscuits, sausage and gravy, fruit and donuts at 8 a.m. Easter Sunday Worship Service is at 10:10 a.m. All are welcome to come and join. Dress is comfortable, come as you are.
Paris Israel Church is holding a Paris Community Easter Egg Hunt, on Saturday April 15, 10 a.m.
We are looking for all Paris area kids to hop over to the Paris Israel Church, located on Lisbon St NE in Paris, Ohio to search for eggs and win prizes. The free event, for toddlers through the sixth grade, (Special Needs "kids" welcome as well) begins at 10 a.m. and will feature candy-filled eggs and door prizes. Come celebrate Easter in the Word of God and through song! The Faith Fellowship Church choir along with singers from other Minerva area churches have teamed up to present "A Celebration of Salvation Through Scripture and Song." This service of scripture, choir, and old time congregational hymn singing will be held Saturday April 15, at 4 p.m. in the afternoon at the West Community Center (former West Elementary School). All are invited, so come ready to sing along. This afternoon of Easter celebration is free of charge and includes refreshments after the service. Hope to see you there, and invite a friend.
Faith Fellowship Church will open up this years Easter celebrations by hosting a Simple Seder on Saturday, April 8, 2-4 p.m. John Davison will be sharing the concept behind the Jewish tradition of Passover by explaining the meanings of each element Jesus shared with his disciples at the Last Supper.
This event is free, and open to the public. Everyone is invited to join us on a journey that began thousands of years ago in Egypt, and found it's climax at the Cross. Come experience the Love, Redemption, and Passion as we learn about the same last meal that Jesus ate with his disciples, "The Passover Seder."
