The April meeting of the Little Sandy Creek Ruritan Club met April 18 at Patty's Place in East Canton. This meeting was the annual father-son banquet. Twenty-two members and 12 sons and grandsons were present.
Patty's Place served a buffet of roast beef, potatoes and gravy, veggies, salads and deserts. President Dick Pero called on secretary to have roll call. Whenever a name was called, members were to stand and introduce the club to his son or grandson.
Pero called on song leader Dick Beck to lead the singing. Chaplin Rev. Terry Bailey gave the invocation. After dinner Pero asked the secretary to read minutes of March minutes. Minutes read and approved.
Pero then requested secretary to read the minutes of the April board of director's meeting. Minutes were read. Dick Lotze gave treasurer's report which was approved.
Vice President Chuck Bucher, to call for the reports from our standing committees. All committees answered the call. The group still has one project left for month.

Denny Snyder, Zone 5 governor asked the club to pick up the slack for Zone 5 as two clubs failed to participate in getting a door-prize for Spring Convention. Bud Barlow moved to give money to Zone 5. Dick Clapper seconded, motion was passed.
Clapper mentioned that the club will receive a check to help sustain its hospital equipment program. The club maintains a supply of hospital which is used to supply people in need at no cost. The club will send a "thank-you" to the Magnolia Grange.
The club moved to transfer member Steve Patrick to associate member so he does not have to attend the monthly meeting. A recent job change made it so he can't attend the evening meetings.
Bill Tuttle, Sr. reported on the Easter Egg Hunt at Christ Memorial Church Park. There were 35 plus participants and they enjoyed the Easter candy.
It is in the works to have the Robertsville Grange set up for scholarship interviews on May 4, 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
Barlow thanked the club for hospital equipment he recently used. Rich Sutton (younger) thanked them as well.
