The Shopko Foundation has recently awarded the Minerva Salvation Army's Stork's Nest program with a $500 grant.
"This donation will help purchase a good number of diapers to help keep this program going for our local children in need," said Jenni Chadwell, Unit Coordinator. Minerva Shopko Store Assistant Manager Pat Ohler presented Chadwell with the check.
Chadwell explained that the Stork's Nest of the Salvation Army provides diapers and wipes for children 3 and under every month. The non-profit group is always in need of donations monetarily and diapers can be donated at the building located at 301 Valley St., in Minerva. Monetary donations can be sent to Minerva Salvation Army P.O. Box 74, Minerva, OH, 44657.
Those in need of assistance may sign up for the program at the Minerva Salvation Army office.
The mission of the Shopko Foundation is to support the well-being of Shopko communities.
