The last Kids Class until September 2017 will be on the third Saturday, May 20, at 10 a.m. at the Carroll County Arts Center. The class will be making Fairy Gardens with all the materials supplied. Registration is a must and can be done by calling the Arts Center at 330-627-3739.

On the second Thursday at 7 p.m. the Writers Group will be meeting at the Arts Center. This will be the last meeting until September. For information concerning the assignment, call Roger Bartley at 330-868-9234.

A Rag Rug or Toothbrush Rug Making class is offered on Thursday, May 18th and Tuesday, May 23rd at 6:30 p.m. The cost is $35 and includes both classes and supplies. Pre-registration is required and space is limited.

Instructor Elizabeth Moser states that toothbrush rugs were originally made using large safety pins, material recycled from clothing, and feed sacks. The craft became known as toothbrush rugs when women sharpened the ends of toothbrushes to make large needles. Participants will receive needles and enough material for practice and start rugs. Participants will leave with basic directions as well as websites for further instructions.

On the last Saturday, May 27th there will be an adult Fairy Garden making class at the Arts Center. Registration will be required so call for more information and to register at 330-627-3739.
