West Township Board of Trustees focused a portion of the township's April 4 meeting on discussion about a letter from residents who said they are seriously concerned about a dilapidated home on Mountz Road.
The board also discussed lighting repairs in the township. Trustees said some repairs will be made at the township building. The board agreed to contact Ohio Edison about replacing a bulb in a street light in Bayard.
Road work discussed at the meeting included work on culverts before the township's chip and sealing program was to begin. Road crew members also planned to mow and clean cemeteries and continue patching pot holes.
In other business, the board:
AGREED that Trustee Dale Lowmiller would apply for a $50,000 grant from the Columbiana County Engineer's Office for roadway signage.
PAID bills totaling $25,362.
