Test-drive a Ford vehicle, get a donation for a cause you care about. That's the concept of the Drive 4 UR Community event. The Drive 4 UR Community event will be held on Saturday, July 15, between 9a.m. and 3 p.m. at the Minerva High School, which is located at 501 Almeda Ave. Drivers must be 18 years or older to drive and have a valid driver's license.
For every test-drive taken in a new Ford vehicle, Ford Motor Company and Loudon Motors Ford will donate $20 to the American Cancer Society's Relay For Life. The goal for the event is to donate up to $6,000 by getting 300 test drives. It is completely free to participate with absolutely no pressure to buy. A wide variety of new 2017 and 2016 Ford vehicles will be available to test drive.
Ford launched the Drive 4 UR School program in 2007 as a way to raise funds for local school programs. The funds for which can be used for sports, booster clubs, music programs and the many other miscellaneous expenses associated with running a school.
The huge success of Drive 4 UR School encouraged Ford to create Drive 4 UR Community. The programs have generated more than $35 million in donations since they've begun. In October Loudon Motors Ford will also be hosting a Drive 4 UR School Event.
