Paving of intersection near Malvern postponed

Staff Report GateHouse Ohio Media Published: July 6, 2017 12:00 AM

The paving of the intersection of State Route 43 (Canton Road) and State Route 183 (Alliance Road) in Carroll County has been postponed due to a scheduling conflict.

The Ohio Department of Transportation announced its contractor, Central-Allied Enterprises of Canton, will reschedule the paving work at a later time. The paving project is part of a $605,000 intersection improvement project that began last year.

Construction included an exclusive northbound right-turn lane on State Route 43, reconstruction of the traffic island on Coral Road and the replacement of the existing traffic signals and highway lighting. New warning signs, guardrail, and pavement markings also will be installed, according to a press release from the state transportation department.
