Minerva's Market Street Art Spot will highlight the month of July with an all- new show entitled "a few of my favorite things" by our own Resident Artist Michelle Mulligan.
Michelle helped create the Market Street Art Spot in Minerva almost seven years ago and has been the featured artist at the Spot on several occasions over the years.
The opening reception is Friday, July 14, from 5-9 p.m.
For 77 consecutive months, the Art Spot has held a Featured Artist Opening reception with live music, free food and refreshments.
This month, the acoustic artistry of the Raines Sisters of East Canton will bring a variety of country and pop music to the Art Spot.
This month's sponsor of the opening reception is the Edward Jones Financial and Diane Evans of Minerva.
The Art Spot at 217 North Market Street, Minerva, is a collaborative gallery and with the recent addition of four new Resident Artists, the Market Street Art Spot continues to be open for regular business on Fridays from 1-6 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
This remarkable show of " a few of my favorite things"of Michelle Mulligan will continue at the Art Spot through Aug. 5.
As always, the reception, music and show are free and open to the public.
In addition to Michelle Mulligan in the Front Gallery, the Art Spot will feature throughout the gallery, the works of the Art Spot's Newest Resident Artists Anna Rather (printmaker,painter),Judi Longacre (painter), Susan Crawford (calligrapher,illustrator),
Joan Henninger (painter) and long time Resident Artists) Laura Donnelly (potter and painter), Judith Singer (raku potter) and Marty Chapman (wood turner).
The Market Street Art Spot is a collaborating partner with Arts in Stark and Carroll County Arts, the Village of Minerva, Minerva Local Schools and the Minerva Area Chamber of Commerce.
