Carroll County Job and Family Services is sending the message "Fraud Costs All of Us".

It is the goal of the agency to investigate every report of suspected fraud. Each report is evaluated to determine if the customer is eligible for the program benefits they received based on the federal and state guidelines of eligibility. When a customer received improper benefits, we pursue collection for the funds and file criminal charges through the Carroll County courts when applicable.

Weighted by the size of the agency's caseload, Carroll County ranked third out of 88 counties in the state of Ohio for the number of claims established. The agency also ranked fifth for the number of fraudulent claims established.

Individuals who commit fraud are removed from the program and must repay all improperly obtained benefits. They may face criminal charges as well as jail time. Suspected public assistance fraud can be reported by several methods. Call the Carroll County Job and Family Services at 330-627-5350, visit the agency at 95 East Main St Carrollton, email carrollcountyjfs@gmail.com, or JFS.Ohio.gov/Fraud.
