Historical society to raffle memorabilia

Published:

The Malvern Historical Society will be holding a raffle as part of its Dancing on the Bridge participation.

The prize will be a large basket filled with a collection of Malvern memorabilia, including porcelain mugs, a teapot, a candy bowl, a crock, and many other items which depict a variety of Malvern landmarks.

Also included are a Malvern coverlet, Lynn Fox prints, a calendar of Clyde Singer prints, and a DVD that tells the story of Malvern in the 1950s. The items would cost more than $150 if purchased at the historical society gift shop.

The tickets are available now from historical society members and will be sold during the Dancing on the Bridge festivities on Sept. 11. The tickets will be $1 each or 6 for $5.

The historical society is located at 108 Porter St., next to the gazebo. The building will be open for visitors Friday evening, Sept. 10, and all day Saturday during the Dancing on the Bridge celebration.
