Community Hospice is planning a new fundraising event to be held at the Pro Football Hall of Fame on the evening of Saturday, Sept. 25. This event, called "Taste of Heaven," derives its name from the nine local establishments that will be providing a "taste" of their best dessert in the Pro Football Hall of Fame Event Tent. Included among those providing desserts are Gold Ribbon Gourmet, Drummond Chocolates, Jackson Hole, Ahhh Nuts, Culinary Arts of Hoover High School, Grinders Above and Beyond and Litty's Cakes and Cookies. Major sponsors of the event to date include Shearer's Foods Inc. and Massillon Cable TV, Inc. Table sponsors to date include Midwestern Industries and Union Hospital.
The event will also include a scavenger hunt through the Hall of Fame, hors doeuvres, a silent auction, a live auction conducted by auctioneer Rodney Dimmerling, entertainment by vocalist Jerome James and instrumental music by Steve Dallas.
Community Hospice holds fundraisers such as "Taste of Heaven" to ensure that no one is turned away based on their inability to pay for services. Further information on the vast array of services and support available from Community Hospice can be found at www.myhospice.org.
Tickets for Taste of Heaven will go on sale in mid-August. Additional opportunities are available for major sponsors, table sponsors and patrons for this very important event.
