The Rotary Club of Malvern is sponsoring a spaghetti dinner at the Malvern United Methodist Church Educational Building on Saturday, Feb. 11, 4:30-7 p.m. This year's dinner proceeds will be donated in part to the Carroll County Library, Malvern Branch for its community literacy programs. To help boost donations during the dinner, there will also be a sale of used books, movies and recorded books offered by the library.
The dinner includes all the spaghetti (with or without meatballs) you can eat, as well as salad, roll, dessert, and beverage. Take-outs are available. Tickets are $7.50 for adults and $4 for children 5-12. They can be purchased in advance from any Rotarian or at the door. The Educational Building is located at 121 W. Wood St. in Malvern, and there is ample parking.
Monetary donations will be accepted for the library, and will be matched in part by the Howard and Edith Robertson Charitable Fund, as well as the Malvern Rotary Charitable Fund in memory of Kathleen Pretty, a long-time supporter of the library.
The funds and matching funds will be used by the library for refurbishing the children's area and local history/genealogy document section.
