Malvern Historical Society open at Dancing jon the Bridge event this Saturday

The Malvern Historical Society will be open all day during the Dancing on the Bridge Celebration on Saturday, Sept. 8.

Everyone is invited into the museum to see the large collection of Malvern memorabilia. There will be a booth set up in front of the building on East Porter Street.

A large gift basket worth $90 to $100 will be raffled off, with all proceeds going to the operation of the Historical Society.

The following items will be included in the gift basket: four pieces of Juanita Ware, which was the swirled pottery made by Bert Crawford in Malvern from 1933 to 1949, porcelain items depicting Malvern landmarks, and a Malvern DVD which offers a trip through Malvern in the early 1950s.

There is a "TimeLine" magazine featuring the artist, Clyde Singer, an sketch of the old Malvern iron bridge by Lynn Fox, Malvern stationery, several postcards, and a commemorative booklet about the history of Malvern.

Tickets for the gift basket will be $1.00 each, or 6 for $5.00. They will be available during the event on Sept. 8 or by calling Fran Montella, Sonia Strock, or Linda Byrd.
