The American Legion Valley Post 375 and its Ladies Auxiliary are seeking donations of a variety of items for veterans living at Brecksville and Wade Park Veterans Administration Hospital.

The list includes envelopes (all sizes); stamps; new combs (no rat tail); new razors; toothpaste; tooth brushes; hair brushes; foot and baby powder; soap (all sizes); deodorant; shampoo; shaving cream; lotions; alcohol-free mouthwash; afghans; lap robes; towel bibs; large and small wheelchair bags; ditty bags; writing paper/tablets; pens and pencils; totes and suitcases; books/magazines; puzzles; crossword puzzle books; Kleenex (pocket size) and wrapped candies.

Nothing sharp or containing alcohol is permitted. The hospital asks that people do not put the ditty bags together and not to put the stamps on the envelopes.

The veterans are in need of sweats rather than clothing and the underwear and socks must be new.

No knitted or crocheted booties without slip-guard feet are allowed to be distributed.

The Malvern Legion and auxiliary is also accepting donations of toys which will be donated to the Carroll County Toys for Tots.
