It came down to a fifth-score tie breaker to decide the boys golf match between Malvern and Conotton Valley.
The Rockets were able to get a 47 out of their fifth man, nine strokes better than the Hornets, to break the 174-174 tie.
Cameron Mazziotta took home medalist honors with a career-best 2-under-par 34. Jordan Glick followed with a 45, Tanner Bower had a 46, Nick Mohr had a 49, Doug Hawley had a 56, and Cody Paul had a 57.
Tab Yosick and Andy Cooper each had 41s for Conotton Valley.
Malvern closed the week with a 162-194 loss to Garaway.
Mohr had a solid round at Willandale with a 44, Mazziotta carded a 48, Glick had a 50, Bower had a 52, Paul had a 57 and Hawley had a 64.
The Hornets (2-8, 0-3) were to face Hiland on Aug. 31, before traveling to Sandy Valley this Tuesday, Sept. 7.
