Recording wins for the Lions were Smith (132) with a 15-6 major decision over Chris Yanni, Chaddock (160) with a pin in 58 seconds against Josh Speelman, Kuttler (285) with a 5-3 decision over Zach Thomas, and Lucas (120) by forfeit.
Minerva (4-6, 3-4) will compete in the Division II East Sectional Tournament at Claymont High School this Friday and Saturday, Feb. 24-25. Teams competing are Beaver, Cambridge, Claymont, East Liverpool, Indian Creek, Indian Valley, John Glenn, Maysville, Meadowbrook, New Philadelphia, Philo, River View and St. Clairsville.
The top four individuals in each weight class will advance to the district tournament at Heath High School March 3-4.
