Elder allows no runs during a doubleheader against Sebring

Malvern's bats came alive during a doubleheader against Sebring.

The Lady Hornets won both games, scoring 22 runs on 20 hits.

Malvern won the first contest 12-0 in five innings.

Paige Elder scattered five hits to earn the win. The senior struck out eight and did not allow a walk.

Kenzie Haidet went 3-for-3 with a double and three runs scored; Elder singled, doubled and drove in two; Macy Zeiger had a base hit, two RBIs and two runs scored; and Hanna Harsha doubled and scored two runs.

Malvern - 10

Sebring - 0

Zeiger had a monster game at the plate, going 4-for-4 with three runs scored.

Elder singled, doubled and drove in four; Haidet had three hits, an RBI and two runs scored; and Danielle Casler had a base hit, two RBIs and a run scored.

Elder continued her mastery over Sebring as she allowed just two hits and four walks, striking out four in five innings.

Garaway - 20

Malvern - 0

The Lady Pirates collected 19 hits and took advantage of six Malvern errors to earn the win.

The Lady Hornets had only one baserunner on the day, as Haili Kendall reached on an error.

Malvern (3-2) will travel to Tusky Valley for a double header this Saturday, April 15; before hosting Ridgewood on Monday, April 17; and Tusky Central on Wednesday, April 18.
