Olivia Kamph and Elyssa Miller each went deep in leading Minerva past Canton South 6-2.
Kamph was 3-for-4 with a home run, three RBIs and two runs scored.
Imler smacked a two-run homer in in the second inning. Lauren Frigyes had three base hits and a run scored; Stella ? had two hits, and Mady Phillips reached base three times.
Frigyes earned the win on the mound as she gave up two unearned runs on five hits and five walks, striking out four.
"This was a great win for the Lions," stated Head Coach Nicole Hilliard. "Sometimes it can be hard to bounce back from a tough loss. This just shows how focused this team is this year."

The Lady Lions managed just three hits on the day.
Frigyes pitched the first one and 2/3 innings, giving up four runs, none earned, on two hits.
Kamph went the final five and 1/3 innings, allowing 13 runs, eight earned, on 11 hits.

Phillips smacked a two-run homer in the top of the seventh inning, one of only two hits on the day for Minerva.
Frigyes pitched six strong innings, giving up three runs, two earned, on three hits. She struck out five and walked two.
"Our offense was slow to get going and we ended up falling short on a late rally," commented Coach Hilliard. "The girls did not give up and that is all you can ask of them."
Minerva (6-4) was to host West Branch today (April 20) and United for a doubleheader on Saturday, April 22; before traveling to Alliance on Tuesday, April 25.
