Lady Lions post wins over Salem, United

Minerva pounded out 13 hits with five players recording multiple-hit games during a 10-0 five-inning win over Salem.

Olivia Kamph went 2-for-3 with four RBIs and a run scored; Elyssa Imler had two doubles, a single, two stolen bases, an RBI and run scored; Mady Phillips singled, doubled, drove in three and scored a run; Kiaunna Brown had three hits and two runs scored; and Peyton Morgan went 2-for-3 with a double, RBI and run scored.

Lauren Frigyes allowed four hits for the shutout win. She struck out seven and walked three.

Amber Hume had a big day at the plate for the Lady Lions with two singles, a double, an RBI and a run scored.

Brown went 2-for-4 with a run scored.

Frigyes pitched the first six innings, allowing seven runs, none earned, on 12 hits. She struck out five and walked one.

Frigyes allowed just one hit in five innings of work to record the shutout. She struck out five and walked three.

Imler doubled and Phillips tripled to lead the offensive attack.

Minerva (8-5, 3-5) will host Marlington today (April 27); and Canton South on Tuesday, May 2.
