"This is a very competitive meet and we were extremely proud of how the girls represented Malvern," stated Coach Maher. "Kelsi threw for two school records in the shot and discus and broke her own meet record for the discus from last year. She was also selected as the Field Event MVP.

"Zoe Moser and Lauren Foster stepped up in big spots tonight. Zoe won the 100 and was second in the 200 against amazing competition, and Lauren placed in the long jump with a personal best of 14'7 and in the 200."

Boys Track

The boys finished third at the Hiland/Ridgewood triangular.

Brandon Patterson recorded two firsts on the day - winning the 1600 in 4:48.84, and the 3200 in 10:29.15.

"We had some great personal records once again from Brandon Patterson and a solid team effort," noted Head Coach Seth Goshorn. "The score doesn't show how hard these kids worked this week, however, the times they ran are a lot of personal bests and we will try to build on them moving forward."

At the Larry Cogan Invitational, Brandon Patterson finished seventh in the 1600 with a time of 4:46.86.

Malvern will compete in the Columbiana Invitational this Saturday, May 6.
